고온 · 고진공 상태에서 암모니아와 붕소의 할로겐화합물을 이용한 화학적 기상 증착법(CVD 공법)을 통해 생산되며, Crucible, Boat, Ring, Plate 등의 형상 가공 뿐 아니라 특정 제품의 표면 보호 코팅용으로 적용하기도 합니다.
